Project Searchlight: A Celebration

For those of you unfamiliar with Project Searchlight (PSL), it is a week long conference/party where those of us who completed the World Race can get together to enjoy community and explore what the next season of our lives might hold. It is a space where we can relax, seek God, and explore some different options to answer the big question most World Racers have to answer at some point, “What are you going to do next?" Trading Comfort for Refinement

PSL has been the wake up call I needed after the race, because even after The World Race God isn't done being God. He's not done with me. He's not done with you. Will your heart and soul continue to say yes and amen even when you feel used up and burnt out? Read the blog

When God Hands You A Camera

This past week I attended a week long gathering of recently returned World Racers in Gainesville, Georgia, to allow time for processing the Race and the transition home. We have been told that God can move in BIG ways at Project Search Light, but I was not expecting this. Read the Blog

Project Searchlight (with a little info on prepping for Jamaica)

It felt so good to be back in the WR culture. One of the things I really liked about it was that the sessions are designed to show you how to take the things you learned on the WR and apply it to your life whether you get a job, go back to the field... Read the Blog

God is my Compass

Coming home for me, was honestly really, really hard. I thought I was mentally, and emotionally prepared for what home was going to look like, and be like. I was looking forward to coming to my family, church, and friends, and I thought I was just going to get back to "normal" in no time. Read the Blog

A Puppy and Project Searchlight

Now, at the end of PSL, I get why everybody says you have to go. And I will join in that message with a resounding voice. PSL is not only a place that you can come to be filled and rejuvenated. It is also a place to take introspective time to recognize the peace of the Lord, to find or be strengthened in his calling on your life, and to be pushed by a community that desires to see growth in your life. I Shouldn’t Have Come to Project Searchlight

Project Searchlight is not another program in addition to the World Race. It IS PART of the World Race, and if you didn’t come, you didn’t finish well. If you are a racer thinking of doing Project Searchlight, don’t think, just do. Read the Blog

PROJECT SEARCHLIGHT – For all you Racers on the field

I was filled with a lot of anxiety about the future. I missed crazy awesome worship. I missed my squad! It felt good to be home but kind of not. I was mixed. Project Searchlight changed it all. It is the last day of PSL and I am so prepared for whatever may come next. Read the blog

You Don’t Know What You Got Til It’s Gone

So began five days of insane beautiful worship, session that fueled a passion, small groups that reminded us that Jesus is still there, he was there before and he will always be there!!! Opportunities for a new life or job or calling were presented and maybe our hearts started beating fast as we realized what God was calling us to next. But more than anything they reassured us that it's okay if we don't know what is coming next because God has it all figured out and we just need to be reminded of that! Read the blog

Breaking Free From Mediocrity

All I have experienced this week are encounters with the Lord, encouragement about following His will for my life, prophecies about my future, physical healing in my lower back, freedom in worship, practical skills in setting goals, making my jumbled dreams a reality, peace about this next season of life, and a renewed excitement to be bold. Read the blog

I Brought a Plate to Project Searchlight

It’s hard to know what to do after the World Race; it’s hard to put into words how it completely alters who you are and shakes up your world. So Adventures in Missions gives us a chance to solidify those lessons for a week at their headquarters in Gainesville, GA. Read the Blog
